The Castlegates offers a distinguished menu of classic and fusion Irish dishes, prepared from the finest local produce and complemented by our carefully selected wines. For casual dining, you can also sample our Idle Hour Bar & Carvery.

The emphasis is on the "craic" in the Idle Hour Bar where traditional themes combine with subtle modern comforts. Live entertainment is a regular feature and an eclectic mix of guests with local residents makes for a friendly, welcoming ambience.

Opening Times

The Idle Hour Bar is open Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10.30am & 11.00pm
(11.30pm Summer).
Sunday opening hours are 12.30pm to 11.00pm.

Food is served in the bar throughout the day with a Carvery Menu available from midday and a great casual dining bar menu in the evenings.
